In this project, I had the option to work in a group, or by myself. While working in a group would take a major workload off of me, there are negatives. For example, my vision can be turned down by other group members. Also, if something happens with a group member, such as an accident, it can cause schedule changes. For example, if the designated editor of the group suddenly has to leave town, the project cannot be edited on time and it may change the roles and responsibilities of the group members. On the other side of the equation, filming alone can put a huge workload on myself, and there may be less opportunity for someone to tell me whether my ideas are good or not. However, producing alone ensures that I will be able to film my project, with my ideas, and on my schedule. For this reason, I have decided to film alone for this project. This will be my first project working by myself, so there are some projected problems I can attempt to visualize. For one, filming and production is a hard process, and it may be difficult to tackle everything by myself. This problem can be resolved, however because with a schedule and a little determination, I am more than certain that I can take the workload. Next, it may be difficult to film this project, as I plan on being an actor. This may be an issue that I cannot solve without another party, but this will not be a problem for long, as I plan to use friends or family to film. Other than that, the project in its entirety will be done by myself. The choice to do this project alone was not an easy one, and the option of joining a group was a very tempting one, however I went with doing the project alone. I find performing my own ideas and putting them into action a necessity for a project of this length. So, while I will be faced with more work, I am prepared to handle it. The workload will not be too much to handle, and now I will be able to use other people who aren't part of my production team to help with input in my project. This input will allow me to create a great title sequence.

  "Run" is a movie that features a disabled teenage girl, running from her mother who kept her in isolation. This movie uses soft and low lighting, setting a dark, uninviting setting. It is common for thriller movies to have these things, due to their ability to drown out any form of happiness and make the scenes of the film unsettling. It is most noticeable by the audience because colors will be desaturated, environments will be dark, and shadows will carry a crucial part of the scene. I plan to use these features in my opening sequence, as it will help the audience ensure that this is indeed a thriller film. Also, with the premise of a loud noise, possibly a monster, occurring in the early scenes of the movie, my hope of creating an ideal environment for this premise will be accomplished by this camera work.          My name is Jacob Pineiro, an eleventh grade student attending Fort Lauderdale High School. I have been interested in the film industry for quite some time now, and this is one of the reasons I enrolled in the AICE Media Studies class. While I do not intend to pursue a career in this industry, I have always found the film industry interesting for a few reasons. One of them being that, contrary to popular belief, editing and scene selection takes quite some time, and the "filming" process is not the entire production process. To me, film and media take an important role in everyday life. More important than most people think. To understand this more, I took AICE Media Studies. So far, in the class we have produced two projects, one a commercial, and one a music video. Commercial Blog

 So, the commercial is finally finished. The final product is something I am extremely proud of, and I have definitely expanded my knowledge of production. In addition to this, I have worked with a team, a great opportunity to gain cooperation skills. I have been responsible for the editing portion of the commercial, meaning that I have been exposed to using software like iMovie. Perhaps most important of all, I have increased my problem solving skills. Issues during filming like the lunch bell, and other people in the scene had to be solved quickly. I find this to be an extremely important skill, and I was happy to be exposed to it. The commercial itself has come together very nicely, and I feel as if my team and I did a great job. It represents what Apple MacBooks are: simple. The addition of small things like the quote are crucial to the commercial, so I'm glad I was able to add those in. In the end, production was a tedious journey, but the product was worth it.
