Schedule-

3/5-3/6: 

Filming will begin, and should get done in one day, however one extra day is allotted for any miscalculations.

3/8: 

Any non-diegetic sounds will be recorded. This will also be the day I review the film I have collected.

3/10-3/11:

Editing will begin. I will use iMovie to edit my film, as it is easy to piece together various scenes and sound design.

3/12-3/13:

Editing will be done by the 12th and any extra final touches or scenes that need to be re-shot will be done on the 13th.

Location-

In addition to my house (shown below), there are two other filming locations. Scenes 1, 5, 6, 7, 8 ,9, and 10 will be filmed here.


Holy Cross, a nearby hospital, will be used for the stairs scene. (Scene 2)

For the last location, an office building will be used for the establishing shot in scene 3.

Health and Safety-
I have ensured that dangers of this production process have been minimized, not only by scripting safe scenes, but by also making sure any participants will get full consent as to what they are doing. The stairs scene may have some risks, as someone can fall. For this contingency, I have made sure that a first aid kit will be brought to the production site.

Backup Plan-
The original scheduling for the for this production process is designed with much room for error in mind. Just in case the weather does not prove satisfactory, there are multiple days to film. In case we are not allowed to film in certain areas, each scene has a "backup scene" where the scene can be filmed elsewhere. For example, if the hospital does not allowing filming on the staircase, a similar building with a staircase is another option that is nearby. If an actor or camera crew member gets injured or sick, they have people to fill in for them as well.

  "Run" is a movie that features a disabled teenage girl, running from her mother who kept her in isolation. This movie uses soft and low lighting, setting a dark, uninviting setting. It is common for thriller movies to have these things, due to their ability to drown out any form of happiness and make the scenes of the film unsettling. It is most noticeable by the audience because colors will be desaturated, environments will be dark, and shadows will carry a crucial part of the scene. I plan to use these features in my opening sequence, as it will help the audience ensure that this is indeed a thriller film. Also, with the premise of a loud noise, possibly a monster, occurring in the early scenes of the movie, my hope of creating an ideal environment for this premise will be accomplished by this camera work. Introduction

         My name is Jacob Pineiro, an eleventh grade student attending Fort Lauderdale High School. I have been interested in the film industry for quite some time now, and this is one of the reasons I enrolled in the AICE Media Studies class. While I do not intend to pursue a career in this industry, I have always found the film industry interesting for a few reasons. One of them being that, contrary to popular belief, editing and scene selection takes quite some time, and the "filming" process is not the entire production process. To me, film and media take an important role in everyday life. More important than most people think. To understand this more, I took AICE Media Studies. So far, in the class we have produced two projects, one a commercial, and one a music video. Commercial Blog

 So, the commercial is finally finished. The final product is something I am extremely proud of, and I have definitely expanded my knowledge of production. In addition to this, I have worked with a team, a great opportunity to gain cooperation skills. I have been responsible for the editing portion of the commercial, meaning that I have been exposed to using software like iMovie. Perhaps most important of all, I have increased my problem solving skills. Issues during filming like the lunch bell, and other people in the scene had to be solved quickly. I find this to be an extremely important skill, and I was happy to be exposed to it. The commercial itself has come together very nicely, and I feel as if my team and I did a great job. It represents what Apple MacBooks are: simple. The addition of small things like the quote are crucial to the commercial, so I'm glad I was able to add those in. In the end, production was a tedious journey, but the product was worth it.
