Filming Plan B

From the last update blog, the filming process was discussed. Unfortunately, time ran out on our first day filming. The solution to this problem was to film for another day, although it would mean a change to the plans. So, today we followed through with out second day of filming. The plan was to finish the shots we didn't accomplish yesterday, and the only problem with this was that we would need to convey the illusion of it being the same day, and my team needed to wear the same clothes and be at the fair at the same time as the previous filming session. After establishing this, we were set for the second day of filming. Many ideas were brought to the table by my team, such as capturing a shot with the group of friends waiting in line. In the process of filming this, it had to be kept in mind that the theme of the video is "Good Days", so the emotions displayed by us as actors had to be happy and carefree. This resulted in the shots having a lighter tone to them. As we approached the ride, Kai had come up with the idea of filming the group of friends on a ride. As the designated filmer, Kai most likely had the best idea of how an idea should be executed. After reviewing the footage of this scene, it was clear this would be a great shot and would fit the song perfectly. When it came time to film the food portion of the film, my team and I came across a few problems when it came to funds. The food stand only took cash, this was an unpredicted problem. To solve this, my team decided to share one plate of the fair treat, and this solution would actually help our group. By making it look like we were sharing one plate of food, it made the actors seem like they were more bonded than a group of friends eating their own food. Fair games, often part of many fair days, were to be filmed for this music video. Fair games are usually very strict, only allowing one person to play a game at a time. However, my team and I had picked a game that would win everytime, and so there would be no problem filming multiple people playing the game. After filming this, the ferris wheel shot was taken and the filming was finished. Now, it is time for the editing portion to finish this project.
