Unexpected Interruptions
This week, I was supposed to film, according to my schedule, my entire project. However, there were some unexpected schedule changes in my week. For personal reasons, such as homework and extracurricular activities, my project had to be postponed. It was for this very reason that I designed the schedule will room for error integrated into it. While it was not for the reasons I expected, the project has still been delayed. In addition to a delay on my end, I will also have to inform any participants that are involved in my project that there will be schedule changes. My participants are at a relatively small number, so this should not pose a problem. Still, more work on time management and coordination will have to be executed in the future. While the project's schedule has been pushed back, there is still an upside to this. Now looking back at my project and its storyboard there may be things that I would like to change. For example, in the storyboard of the project, the lights suddenly shut off during the conversation with the debt collector. However, the script describes the lights flickering, then shutting off. This will be easy to accomplish, and I feel as if it will create more of a feeling of suspense, as lights flickering is not a normal occurrence, but lights can go off because of a fuse box or a power loss, and this can happen quite often. Using this analysis of my storyboard will allow me to film my project with new ideas before I even start recording. As for the schedule itself, the dates will be pushed back by seven days. It may seem like a long time, however other responsibilities that must be fulfilled can happen in this time period. For example, licenses to the music will need to be acquired. An email needs to be sent to the composer before using his content, and this window will allow me to do that. My participants will be able to adjust to these changes, as I have already contacted them and will continue to do so in the future if this happens again. I am looking forward to continuing this project in a timely fashion, and I am glad room for error was made in order to offer a solution to this problem.
